30/01/2018 · Hi, I have installed Linux Mint 18.3 KDE 64bit on my computer and have TRENDNET Wfi adapter model number TEW-805UB which is incidentally having RTL8812AU. I tried the way as mentioned in the article and able to install the driver and it is working fine. The only difference I find github.com does not have rtl812au folder. I am using a USB WiFi Adapter that contains a RTL8811AU chip. This is undetected on Fedora and thus I am left with no internet access. I have been Googling this, and the closet I found to a Linux driver is this GitHub repo: RTL8188EUS_linux_v4.1.4_6773.20130222. so I tried installing all the driver available on internet with name of rtl8188EUS or rtl8188EU but nothing worked. Find the driver's source code on GitHub and follow the build and install instructions there. I was wondering how to find the driver for the Meross AC600, that require the Realtek rtl8821au driver. The included drivers do not compile. Any other git hub repository for the rtl8821au do not compile. Any help? regards Claudio

04/12/2019 Realtek drivers do exist for Linux, but Realtek also tends to make rubbish hardware. I did a quick search, and it looks like your device isn't supported by the kernel, so you'll indeed have to build a third party module, unless someone has already make a package available.
